December 31, 2008, Stuttgart Ballet:
On the 50th birthday of Uwe Scholz, the Stuttgart Ballet invites the two other companies which were also part of Scholzís artistic career: Zurich Ballet and Leipzig Ballet. Each company is going to present a piece that was originally created for it.
Zurich ballet: “Octet” to the music by Mendelssohn-Bartholdy,
Leipzig Ballet: “Second Symphony” to the music by Schumann,
Stuttgart Ballet: “Seventh Symphony” to the music by Beethoven.

November 13, 2008: National Ballet of China, Beijing:
“Third Piano Concerto” to the music by Sergej Rachmaninow.

April 25, 2008, Lithuanian National Ballet, Vilnius:
“The Firebird” – stage and costumes by Dieter Schoras.

April 17, 2008, Slovenian National Ballet, Ljubljana:
In memoriam Uwe Scholz: “Mozart versus Schumann”.
“Piano Concerto in E flat”, also known as the “Jeunehomme” concerto by Mozart as well as the „Second Symphony“ to the music by Schumann.

On November 9, 2007, the National Ballet of China had itís celebrated premiere of “Seventh Symphony”. It has been set by Laura Popelka, together with the great former soloists of the Stuttgart Ballet, Wolfgang Stollwitzer and Roland Vogel.

On May 25, 2007, the Ballet Gera–Altenburg has premiered a charming “Coppelia” showing all of Scholzís humor and liveliness.

Documentation

EuroArtsí documentary film “Soulscapes – The Choreographer Uwe Scholz“ a very sensitive portrait of Uwe Scholz by Guenter Atteln, has now appeared on DVD. It is combined with Scholz's double choreography of “Le Sacre du Printemps“ which interprets both Stravinsky's version for two pianos and the full orchestra version.

The Leipzig Dance Archive  has taken over the documentary estate of Uwe Scholz.

The book “Leipziger Ballett – 10 Jahre Uwe Scholz” contains numerous outstanding photos by Andreas Birkigt, an introduction of Lothar Wittke and his extensive interviews with Uwe Scholz.
It has been published in the Edition Braus at Wachter publishing house, Heidelberg 2001.
